The Superior International Junior Hockey League is back with its Showcase event following a COVID forced break.
The showcase is being held at the Wessman Arena, home of the Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets NC-double A team in Superior, Wisconsin.
The League has been forced to make some last minute changes as Red Lake doesn’t have enough players to compete due to illness.
The Sioux Lookout Bombers make their first trip south of the border as they face the Fort Frances Lakers at 1:00 pm.
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs follow with a showdown with the league leading Kam River Fighting Walleye at 4:00 pm.
The Thunder Bay North Stars battle Wisconsin at 7:00 pm.
The event gives scouts the opportunity to come out and evaluate players.
