Three Dryden schools were briefly put under lockdown this afternoon (Wednesday).
Provincial Police confirm St. Joseph’s, Open Roads and Dryden High School were in lockdown for safety reasons as officers investigated what police called a suspicious incident.
The schools reopened around 2:15 pm.
OPP stress the action was taken as a precaution and at no time was there any threat to the safety of students and staff.
Police are still investigating an incident and will be posted at schools during dismissal.
No other details are known at this time.
