The Dryden Eagles High School Football team look to build off a dominant performance last week.
The Blue and Gold are home to the visiting West Kildonan Wolverines this afternoon (Friday).
Dryden is coming off an impressive 54-26 win last week that saw the team come together on offence, defence and special teams.
This is the fourth of five straight games at Harry McMaster Field and Defensive Back Coach Braydon Hansson stresses the players build on the enthusiasm provided on game day.
“We love to see the turnout there at the field and we appreciate everyone in the community coming out to support us. I think having five home games is something special and I think the guys look forward to it every week to put on a good show for the home crowd.”
The Eagles have picked up their physical play as of late and that has resulted in difficult times for their opponents.
Hansson says, “We’re about halfway through the season and our players are really coming into what they can be as players. That confidence is there and I think that the dust, safe to say, has been shaken off. They are looking forward to a game every week and every Friday or Thursday and they can’t wait to get out there. That physical aspect has just started to really come through and you can see it on the scoreboard.”
Both teams are 3-1 and the Wolverines are coming off a loss to Fort Frances last week.
Dryden defeated the Muskies in Week #1.
Kick-off is 3:00 pm.
