Eleven colleges in the province are touring the region meeting with students about future graduation plans.
A session was recently held at Dryden High School with a big turnout.
Confederation College recruiter Sheena Zegil says its been three years since they’ve been able to meet with students in-person.
“So we’re really excited to be back. We’ve done a lot of collaborating with the high schools right across, not only Northwestern Ontario, but across Ontario, in order to create our six week college information program.
Zegil says it’s an opportunity for students to see what options are available and what each school has to offer.
She stresses it’s important for colleges to visit each local community and answer any questions students may have because they likely wouldn’t be able to travel across the province and tour individual schools.
Zegil notes applications will be opening in a couple of weeks and offers for programs will start to be rolled out in November.
