The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have their first victory of the season.
The Ice Dogs defence shutdown the visiting Red Lake Miners en route to a 3-1 win Sunday night at the Memorial Arena.
Captain Brady Frattinger had a goal and an assist in the victory, while Ryland Semaniuk and Jordan Pfoh each recorded their first SIJHL goals.
Aiden Corbett scored the lone Red Lake goal.
Eric Clark stopped 22 shots for the win.
Dryden GM now sits at 1-3 and the Miners are 2-3.
Meantime, the Sioux Lookout Bombers are off to a hot start in their inaugural season picking up a second straight victory.
The Bombers knocked off visiting Wisconsin 6-5 yesterday.
It was a balanced attack with Blake Burke, Tyler Tykolis-Casey, Connor Burke, Jack Hale, Tyler Decoff and Phil Parker finding the back of the net.
Raphael Marois stopped 43 shots in the win.
