A successful start to the Dryden High School Eagles Cross Country Season as they travelled down to Fort Frances for the Bear Pass Challenge Races.
Miki Gauthier started things off strong, finishing in 2nd place in the Grade 9 Girls race.
Kahlyn Gamble and Taylor Millard battled back and forth in the same race to finish 4th and 5th respectively.
In the Grade 9 Boys race Dryden swept the top two positions.
Kael Springett narrowly edged out Emmerson Moir in a photo finish at the conclusion of the 4 kilometre course.
Noah Delong and Malcolm Walsh rounded out a strong showing for the boys.
The sole senior runner was captain Megan Peters who finished in 4th place on the challenging 6 kilometre course.
Next up for the runners will be the Turkey Trot held in Dryden on October 6.
