Kenora OPP are investigating an airplane crash that claimed the life of one person.
Officers along with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre responded to a report of an airplane crash on Lake of the Woods early Wednesday evening. The plane wreckage was located on Shore Island on Lake of the Woods.
One individual was pronounced deceased.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
There is no information on the identity of the deceased person, nor registration of the aircraft.
