Dryden residents will have an opportunity to recognize Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 63 is hosting a special service for the late monarch.
It’s being held Saturday at 10 o’clock at the Legion.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Cyrl Ryan is the local Legion President and says, “Basically it will be something like November 11. We’re going to have the colours. We’re going to have the bagpipes. We’re going to have Velma on the organ. There will be a few speeches from some of the dignitaries.”
Ryan stresses it is very important to recognize and remember the Queen.
“After all her years in reign she is our Chief Officer and has been for all these years. We have high respect for this lady and for what she has done for all of the Legions all throughout. We wanted to show our respect.”
