A traffic disruption on Highway 17 in Dryden this week.
A big culvert replacement construction job that is ongoing had a busy traffic area reduced to one lane as of Tuesday. Delays on Highway 17 in that area can be expected for the rest of this week, especially during peak morning and afternoon travel times. Take some extra time where you need to go if you are going to use Highway 17 through Dryden or plan an alternate route (such as Sandy Beach Road) to bypass the construction site.
It was nice to see yesterday the courteous drivers on Highway 17 who were letting other vehicles enter the flow of the congested traffic from exits at Tim Hortons, Walmart, Extra Foods, Canadian Tire, Subway and many other places along the highway in Dryden! Keep it up!! Everyone appreciates the cooperation and makes the delay that much more bareable.
