The City of Dryden and Rotary Club have teamed up once again to offer Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
The free event is Saturday from 8:30 am until 4 pm at the Public Works Yard.
Roger Gould was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday to outline what you can drop-off.
He says products accepted carry warning symbols indicating that they are flammable, corrosive, explosive, or poisonous.
Examples of old or unwanted products that will be accepted include pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, antifreeze, furniture polishes and waxes, wood preservatives, household cleaners, paint stripper, solvents, old paint, rust remover, acetylene, florescent light bulbs/tubes, batteries, mercury thermometers, hobby chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Gould asks that you keep products in the their original containers, keep individual products separate and make sure they are labelled.
He encourages everyone to drop-off used car batteries as they are recycled and the Club receives the funds for those to put into community projects.
