Municipalities in the region will have a little more time to get all the information together for costs associated with Summer flooding.
The deadline has been extended to October 7.
The Disaster Recovery Assistance program was activated following heavy rains that led to area rivers and streams to reach record levels.
It is intended to offset expenses not normally covered by insurance.
So far, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs has received 26 applications for assistance.
