The excitement is building as the Dryden Fall Fair is set for Thursday.
Gates open at noon with the parade at 6:30 pm and the opening ceremony at 7:00 pm.
Dryden District Agricultural Society board member Lisa Koshel says it’s great to be back after a COVID forced break and this years event will be bigger and better.
The theme this year is ‘Farmers and Friends Together Again.’
Koshel says, “We thought it was very appropriate that it’s a chance for our town friends and our country friends to gather in the old tradition that’s been going on 115 years at our Dryden Fair.”
The midway will be open noon until midnight Thursday, Friday and Saturday and there are plenty of vendors, entertainment on the Moody Stage, the favourite horse show, great food and things to see at a full exhibit hall.
Koshel says one of the hotspots at the fair this year will be the barn.
“We will have horses, small animals for people to look at, all the cattle will be there, and Aunt Sally’s Farm which is always a favourite with the small animals for the kids to check out.”
CKDR’s Richard McCarthy had a chance to talk to Lisa Koshel about the 2022 Dryden Fall Fair and you can hear the full interview below:
Another big highlight of the Fair is events featuring Dryden 4-H Beef Club members including the Cattle Show and Steer Auction.
William and Ramona Kriese were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday to talk about the events and being back in-person for everyone.
