The Red Lake Miners showed their resiliency Saturday but in the end the top team in Canada proved to be too much for them.
The Miners fell to the Brooks Bandits 11-4 to drop to 0-2 at the Centennial Cup in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
Red Lake was down 5-2 and but battled back to make 6-4.
However, the Bandits offence came alive in the third with 5 unanswered goals.
Scoring for the Miners were Jordan Baranesky, Nic Bolin, Brady Harroun, and Noah Kramps.
Brooks outshot Red Lake 45-17.
The 0-2 Miners will rest Sunday and play the host Bruins Monday night at 8:30 central time.
