Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for much of Northwestern Ontario.
Stephen Flisfeder is a meteorologist and says the rain should taper off overnight.
Flisfeder says we can expect another 10 to 15 millimetres of rain throughout the day.
He notes while temperatures are about 10 degrees lower than normal today (Friday), they will gradually increase over the long weekend, to near normal levels.
The Red Lake/Ear Falls area even saw snow Friday morning.
