Lost in the shuffle in the midst of a provincial election campaign is the municipal vote.
Nominations for Mayor, Council and School Board Trustees are now being accepted in local municipalities.
Allyson Euler is City Clerk in Dryden and says the filing period runs until August 18.
“Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Clerk’s office (old Dryden Police Service Building) and on nomination day which is the 19th of August between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Voting day is October 24.
Euler adds, “There’s paperwork that needs to be filled out by anyone running for any of the offices as well as a fee.”

“I can go over all of the information with them. Provide the details on the process and just answer questions. It’s a relatively simple process.”
Euler adds, “We do have an election web page set-up that has information on it, that will be continued to be populated as time goes by as well.”
