No change at the top of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs leadership team.
The Junior Hockey Club held its Annual General Meeting Wednesday night and Mike Sveinson was re-elected President.
He is the longest serving President in the organizations 20 year history.
Sveinson is joined by Erik Lang as Vice-President and Natasha Lovenuk as Secretary.
In a statement, Sveinson said, “The past year was the conclusion of a marathon season that started in March of 2020, and concluded in April of 2022. Having been through the challenges that we faced over the past several years, we are facing a renewed resolve to push the franchise forward both on and off the ice. Our goals for the coming season will be to win an SIJHL championship and to engage Dryden in that challenge both by our presence in the community and through our goal to set franchise attendance records in the coming season. We want to continue to be community involvement leaders in all the areas we always have, and we want Dryden to be the hardest road game in the league. In both those challenges, our fans, families and volunteers are the key; and they are how we can make that happen. Looking forward to seeing everyone back at the Dog Pound in the fall.”
The Ice Dogs are also branching out and looking for a Sponsorship Coordinator that they will be recruiting for immediately.
The individial will be hired to lead the retention of past sponsors, along with seeking new sponsorship opporunities.
The deadline to apply is June 3.
