You can now find out where you vote on election day.
That information is available on the Elections Ontario website.
“(You can) Look at their address, and they’ll be able to see their advanced voting location and their location for election day. Voter information cards, which also have that information, will be on their way as of May 13,” says media relations coordinator Eleni Armenakis.
Armenakis notes some public health measures will come into play.
“When voters go to the polls, they are going to see a lot of what they are already familiar with, physical distancing, hand sanitizer. We’ll be disinfecting high-touch surfaces frequently. We’re also going to have masks available for any voters or staff who would like to wear one.”
Masks at the polling stations will be voluntary.
Unlike the federal election, Elections Ontario has the okay to set up polling stations in schools with the approval from local school boards.
Voting day is June 2.
