***NEW: The Ministry of Transportation reports Hwy 599 is closed due to a washout. The highway closure, which was reported at 6:51, is 15 kilometres south of Pickle Lake and a detour is not in place.
Previous story:
A couple of critical arteries remain cut-off due to flooding.
Highway 105 remains fully closed 20 kilometres south of Red Lake at Hopperstad Road-South Bay on Gull Rock (E).
There is no detour.
The other washout is Highway 105 Vermilion Bay from Highway 17 to Highway 609.
Both lanes are closed but there is a detour in that area.
Meantime, the Ministry of Transportation closed Highway 17 just east of Vermilion Bay Tuesday night around 8:30 near Rhyner’s Road.
The MTO now says both lanes remain blocked but the highway may still be passable if extreme caution is taken.
A detour is also in place in case you don’t want to risk it.
Highway 605 between Highway 17 and Rugby Lake (End of Highway) also remains fully closed.
