Just what we need…more rain!
A Rainfall Warning and Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the entire region.
Environment Canada says showers should begin late this morning with the risk of a severe thunderstorm this afternoon or early tonight.
Total amounts could range from 10 to 15 millimetres.
Tonight, another 5 to 10 millimetres could fall before the showers finally taper off around midnight.
That’s when wind speeds will pick up to 40 to 70 kilometres an hour.
Meteorologist Gerald Cheng says on top of a possible 30 millimetres of rain, our area could also experience hail, damaging winds as high as 90 km/h and even a tornado
It should finally clear up around Tuesday afternoon.
