A Kenora man faces a hefty fine for hunting moose out of season.
Jonathon Parrino pleaded guilty to shooting a calf moose while it was swimming in Heathcote Lake in October of 2020.
He claimed the bull moose calf was shot under his adult cow moose tag.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says it was a closed season for calf moose hunting.
Parrino has been ordered to pay $7,500 and had his hunting licence suspended for a year.
