Lionel Bernard
May 29, 1956 – April 26, 2022
In loving memory of Lionel Bernard who passed away peacefully at age 65 on April 25, 2022 at Princess Court.
Lionel is predeceased by his wife Eva, son Darren and parents Harry and Violet.
He is survived by his sons Terence (Rebecca), Chris (Jess), daughter Melanie, grandchildren Connor, Merrick, Kaia, Zyra, and Deklyn, siblings Annie, Marilyn, and Robert (Louise) and numerous other family members.
Lionel was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and taking trips to the cabin. One of his favourite pastimes was taking his dog Peta for rides in his truck; they were an inseparable pair who both loved each other to the moon and back.
Lionel also took comfort in attending church every Sunday at Dryden’s Pentecostal Full Gospel Church, it was something he looked forward to every week.
We want to thank the staff at both Princess Court and Dryden Regional Health Centre for taking exceptional care of the patriarch of our family and showing him kindness and compassion during his stay with both facilities.
Visitation will be held at the Dryden Community Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Sunday May 1, 2022. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1 at 2:00 pm at Dryden Community Funeral Home with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating. Interment to follow at the Dyment cemetery.
