The leader of St. John School in Red Lake has received provincial recognition.
Corinna Glazier has received the Principal of the Year award from the Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario.
In a prepared statement, Glazier says she’s truly honoured to receive the award and humbled by the nomination from colleagues at the Kenora Catholic District School Board.
She adds she’s grateful for the ongoing support and guidance she has received from fellow principals, vice-principals, and the school board.
Glazier stresses she is part of an amazing school community thanks to staff, students and parents.
She began her teaching career in 2004 and has worked in a variety of roles.
Glazier is in her sixth year as Principal at St. John in Red Lake.
KCDSB Director of Education Paul White says, “Corinna is an exceptional Catholic leader and role model at St. John School and within the Kenora Catholic District School Board, and the recognition from her colleagues and the Catholic Principal Council of Ontario is well deserved. Corinna works incredibly hard for her students, staff and families to create a warm and welcoming school community where everyone belongs, and students receive the support they need to be successful.”
