A three goal outburst in the second period has the Red Lake Miners in favorable position in the SIJHL Final.
Ryan Howe got things going early in the second frame, one of three on the night, scoring the eventual game winner, as the Miners downed Kam River 6-2 Friday night.
R.J. Dickie had a three point showing with a goal and two assists, while Brady Harroun, and Triston Moisey added to the scoring for the Miners.
Kiev Kineshanko made 26 saves for the victory.
Red Lake is now up two games in the Best-of-7 Bill Salonen Cup.
