Moved up to a higher division did not faze the Dryden Girls Mighty Moose at a recent Under-13 Hockey Tournament in Winnipeg.
The Girls took home Silver in the A1 Division at the Stars Cup.
The Mighty Moose won their first two games 4-0 and 5-2 but lost Game 3 in a close 1-0 struggle.
That still earned them a spot in the Gold Medal game.
The Final was decided in a shootout as Dryden and the Storm battled to a 2-2 tie after regulation.
The Storm won in a shootout.
Head Coach Liv Carter said, “The Mighty Moose took the challenge of a higher division head on and proved they belonged in round robin play, improving throughout the tournament. The finals was a heartbreaker but all 13 girls fought hard till the final buzzer and should be extremely proud of their Silver Medals”
