A plea to local residents to become a blood donor.
The need for donations is high right now with more people travelling and the risk of crashes higher.
Canadian Blood Services says with the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions across the country, more people are moving around and taking part in family activities, which makes it more difficult to find time to donate.
But they say the demand for blood and blood products never stops.
The closest location for area residents to ‘Give the Gift of Life’ is Winnipeg.
