A program that has helped many organizations in northwestern Ontario has been expanded.
The province is doubling its Seniors Community Grant Program funding by investing a record $6 million for seniors-based projects.
The critical program supports mental, physical and social initiatives to help seniors in local communities.
Applications are now being accepted until April 28.
Community organizations, municipalities and Indigenous groups are eligible to apply.
Funding ranges from $1,000 to $25,000 for local projects.
