A strong first half propelled the Dryden Eagles Senior Boys Basketball team to a Gold medal performance at the NorWOSSA ‘AA’ Championship on home court Tuesday.
The Eagles carried a 16 point lead into the second half before things evened out but Dryden came out on top at the end with a 71-51 win over Sioux North.
Fynn Livingston poured in 32 points for Dryden, mixing inside power moves and some 3 pointers.
Carver Trist and Ethan Cook were also involved with 9 and 14 points respectively.
Josh Russell was strong under the boards for the Eagles.
Walter Head led the Warriors attack with 23 points to secure the silver medals.
In the Junior Boys Final, Fort Frances defeated Beaver Brae to claim Gold with a 39-29 victory.
