The rules for crossing Canada’s borders have changed again.
As of February 28th, lab tested rapid antigen tests will be accepted.
PCR tests are still considered the gold standard, but now travelers will be allowed to take a rapid antigen test from an authorized location.
The rapid tests can’t be the take home ones that the province has handed out, but instead they need to be ones that go to a lab that will provide a written statement stating that what the test results are.
As for when travelers can take the test; the rapid test must be taken no more than one day before before your departing flight back to Canada or planned arrival at the land border.
