The Kam River Fighting Walleye’s 17 game win streak has come to an end at the hands of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
Derek Koivisto scored the winning goal early in the third period as part of a 20 shot barrage on Austin Madge as the Ice Dogs beat the top team in the SIJHL 4-3 Monday afternoon.
Maxime Collette recorded his league leading 31st goal and added an assist, while Ondrej Bardos and Nakoda Thunderchief added singles.
Eric Clark was solid in net after a lengthy layoff making 41 saves for the victory.
