Get your friends, family, or co workers together and make your cup of coffee count.
The Kenora-Rainy River District Alzheimer’s Society is back with it’s annual ‘Coffee Break’ fundraiser.
“Business in the community, or anyone really, can host what we call a ‘Coffee Break’ event where you sell a cup of coffee and the proceeds come back to us to support our programs and services,” explains Shyler Hendrickson.
Hendrickson says the goal is to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia in our communities by having discussions over coffee.
“We understand that businesses and people in the community may be wary even with things opening back up, but we have people fundraising internally, externally, virtually. There’s a lot of freedom with how you can host one of these events.”
To get involved, you can call 807-468-1516 for more information to host a ‘Coffee Break’.
