Meantime, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health feels it may be time to reassess the need for vaccination passports and public health restrictions.
Dr. Kieran Moore says the Omicron variant is still difficult to control, but vaccines and treatments make it more manageable.
“It comes with time where we are going to have to decide how many public health measures will maintain going forward and how we can try to maintain our mental, physical, social, economic and education well-being in the face of an on-going threat.”
Dr. Moore points to the lifting of restrictions in the UK and Australia.
