The top curlers in Canada will be in a bubble when they compete at the Scotties in Thunder Bay.
With opening day of the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts fast approaching, Curling Canada confirmed Thursday that the women’s curling championship has been given the green light by the province to proceed under current public health measures.
There will be no fans or media at the Fort William Gardens, in an effort to limit attendance.
Eighteen teams will throw the rocks, including Thunder Bay’s Krista McCarville.
Curling Canada will contact current ticket holders and provide a full refund.
The event is scheduled to run from January 28th until February 6th.
