In Loving Memory of Helen Cornelius (nee Smith)
January 1, 1922 – January 16, 2022
Helen passed away peacefully at the Dryden Regional Health Centre at the age of 100.
She was born in Leamington, Ontario on January 1st, 1922 to Lena and Wilbert Smith.
The family moved to Dryden in 1926. She began working at Alex Wilson Coldstream when CPP went into effect in 1966, spending twelve years loving all her work experience there, retiring in 1978 to enjoy life with her retired husband. They travelled with her beloved brothers and their wives to many destinations before her husband’s passing. She moved to 10 Victoria on September 1st, 2013 where she enjoyed life and the friends she made there, always saying “I am so happy here”
Helen is survived by her daughter Linda, brother Harvey (Malou), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, sons Garry & Raymond, brothers Lee (Marie), Robert (Gladys), Bernard (Dorothy), Raymond (Ethel), Jack (Claudette), Morley (Dorothy), and Donald (Joanne).
There will be no service at this time and interment will take place in the summer of 2022. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Dryden Regional Health Center online or through Stevens Funeral Home, PO Box 412, Dryden, Ontario P8N 2Z1
