The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 109 new cases of COVID-19 today. (Monday)
The update is from the last report issued Friday.
Thirty-eight come from the Kenora area with 24 from the Sioux Lookout Health Hub and 23 from the Fort Frances region.
The Dryden area recorded 10, with Rainy River next at 8, followed by Red Lake at 4 and Atikokan 2.
There are 281 active cases and 6 people are in hospital with COVID.
The Thunder Bay district recorded 184 new positives and 290 active cases.
In Ontario, 3,887 people have been hospitalized with 578 in the ICU.
Health officials are reporting 23 new COVID-related deaths.
The test positivity rate is 24.2% and 8,521 new cases were recorded Monday.
