More recognition for local recipients of the 2021 Prime Minister’s Achievement Awards.
Kenora MP Eric Melillo joined the Keewatin Patricia District School Board’s virtual meeting to extend his appreciation to Michelle Parrish, Principal of the Golden Learning Centre in Balmertown and Cheri Grandbois, an Early Childhood Educator at Valleyview Public School in Kenora.
“These awards truly signify your leadership and dedication to your positions,” said Melillo. “I believe the commitment you both have to your students and to your communities respectively, is so greatly appreciated by everyone throughout the region.”
Both Parrish and Grandbois will also receive honourary certificates from the Parliament of Canada.
“It’s such an honour to have the privilege of working with the incredible team that at KPDSB that we have and certainly these are two outstanding members that we’re so proud of for their innovation,” added Director of Education Sherri-Lynne Pharand.
The two educators were presented their awards in November.
