The number of active COVID cases has dropped in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
There are 311 cases down from 352 yesterday.
Officials are reporting 47 new positives today.
Twenty come from the Kenora area, 11 from the Sioux Lookout Health Hub, 8 in the Dryden region, 3 in Rainy River, 2 each in Red Lake and Atikokan and 1 in Fort Frances.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit recorded 80 new cases with 356 actives.
Ontario reported 3,814 people in hospital and 527 patients in ICU.
There are 42 new deaths related to the disease.
The province recorded 10,964 COVID cases Friday.
