The Superior International Junior Hockey League season is on hold.
Indoor sport and recreation fitness facilities will be closed starting Wednesday under new provincial orders.
Players have been advised that they will remain at home until the end of January, and won’t return until the league confirms a return to play date.
Commissioner Darrin Nicholas is optimistic that the league can continue their campaign, even if the province decides to extend the pause.
Play was supposed to resume on Friday.
