As we close out 2021 today many of us will look back on the past year as being nothing but a negative continuing hardship of the stresses caused by COVID. It goes without getting in to the details that…..it’s been one heck of a year.
But within that cloud of doom there is always the proverbial silver lining.
Come on! Think about it for a minute…..
I’m sure you can recall some personal and perhaps professional positive highlights from your 2021.
For me professionally I think the biggest accomplishment this year was mastering the change in computer programming in our Main Studio at CKDR. Technology changes scare the stuff out of me!! But yippee – the old guy came through it pretty darn good and swore probably only 4 times while learning. Good thing the microphone was off. Well at least I think it was off.
For me personally this year my most positive highlights would be…..surviving the entire COVID restricted 2021 living in the house with my 3 ladies. 2022 might have a different end result as the 3 are now always whispering to each other and pointing at me. What the?!?
Another personal positive has been my away from work fundraisers this year that I created to help others. By developing a Team atmosphere, knowing that it matters more that you give rather than the amount you give and that together we can do more to help others. The gratification level in accomplishing that is incredible! I am so proud to say that earlier this year I assembled a Team of contributors that was able to raise almost $15,000 that went to show respect to the 298 employees at Dryden Regional Health Centre. And most recently my fundraiser that is ending as we turn the calendar tonight to 2022, has at this moment almost eclipsed $8,000 that will help people in the Dryden area who have Dementia and Alzheimers. You can read, learn more and do more about that project by visiting this link: https://gofund.me/2a2ca5dc
So there you have it – a few of my positive professional and personal positive highlights from 2021. Now I’d like to hear about the positive stuff from your year!
