Extreme cold is expected early this morning.
Environment Canada has issued a warning for the Dryden, Vermillion Bay, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Ear Falls areas.
Temperatures near minus 33 degrees Celsius with the wind chill near minus 40 are expected.
Warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
Those most at risk include young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors and those without proper shelter.
Bring pets indoors and cover up if you do have to go outside.
Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
Watch for colour changes on fingers and toes, pain, numbness, a tingling sensation, or swelling.
If present, move indoors and begin warming.
