The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 23 new cases of COVID-19 in the region.
Eight of the new cases are in the Red Lake Health Hub, followed by the Kenora Hub with seven, five in the Dryden Hub and one each in the Sioux Lookout, Fort Frances and Emo Hubs.
This brings the total active case count to 115 , compared to 102 Tuesday and six people are hospitalized with COVID-19.

Booster shots are also well underway in the region, with 25% of those 18 and older having received the third dose.
As for the local 5-11 age group, Dr. Kit Young Hoon says 35% have their first dose.
Both vaccination rates are expected to increase in the coming weeks with more vaccination clinics planned over the holidays.
Other numbers today, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit adds nine new cases making for 64 active.
Ontario reports 4,383 new cases across the province, the highest daily total since late April.
Individuals who are not fully vaccinated represent 22.8% of Ontario’s total population and amount to 918 of Ontario's 4,383 new reported cases. 222 cases are in individuals with an unknown vaccination status.
