Is your Christmas shopping done yet?
With less than a week to go until Christmas, area Chambers are encouraging you to shop local.
“When you buy something from a local retailer, you’re forming a relationship with the business and you’re supporting not only the business’ staff and family but you’re also helping shape the community as a whole,” explains Manager of the Dryden Chamber Natalie Marcinkowski
Marcinkowski stresses businesses, especially restaurants and retail, have been hit hard by the pandemic.
“Now more than ever we need to focus on supporting local businesses and keeping those dollars in our region. By doing your shopping local, your dollar actually goes a lot further. When a local business thrives, it’s in a much better place financially to be able to reinvest some of that money back into the community, sponsoring your child’s sports games, donating to a local cause and creating more jobs.”
Marcinkowski challenges shoppers to go to at least one new business in their community.
She adds chambers are here to support area businesses as they look forward to the new year.
