Leadership with the Keewatin Patricia District School Board say there’s been COVID-19 exposures in New Prospect School.
As a result, two classes are closed today (Friday December 17).
Staff and students who weren’t contacted directly by KPDSB staff last night (Thursday December 16) can continue to attend school.
The Board says they are working with the Northwestern Health Unit to ensure all risks are minimized.
KPDSB reminds staff and students to continue using the Covid-19 school and child care screening tool everyday before attending school.
UPDATE 5:30AM: At the same time, the Northwest Catholic District School Board has received notification of a positive student case of COVID-19 associated with St. Josephs School.
Those in the impacted class have been notified and the classroom has been closed as per direction from the NWHU.
The NWCDSB also reminds staff and students to use the COVID-19 screening tool daily before attending school.
