A 27 year old from Thunder Bay faces six charges following a police pursuit in the Dryden area Monday afternoon.
Provincial Police were called to an assault with a weapon report in Zealand Township east of town around 1 o’clock.
The individual left the scene before officers arrived but was tracked shortly after in a vehicle west of Dryden.
Officers attempted to stop the driver but the accused refused to pull over.
The vehicle was later found in Machin Township at which time the individual fled on foot.
The accused was located and arrested around 3:41 with help from the Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and air support.
The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
The individual remains in custody on charges of:
-Uttering Threats- Cause death or Bodily Harm- Criminal Code 264.1(1)(a)
-Assault- Criminal Code 266
-Flight from peace officer- Criminal Code 320.17
-Dangerous operation – Criminal Code 320.13(1)
-Assault with a Weapon – Criminal Code 267(a)
-Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent – Criminal Code 335(1)
