The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting one new COVID case Thursday.
It comes from the Kenora area.
The active count has dropped one to 18.
Dr. Kit Young Hoon is the medical officer of health and says they have seen very little community spread in the recent cases.
She notes most people are following public health rules.
Dr. Young Hoon adds case and contact management has also helped reduce the likelihood of spread.
The Thunder Bay District registered 12 new positives with 122 active cases.
In Ontario, the number of active cases keeps going up with 1,290, the highest number since May.
There are also more cases among people who have been fully vaccinated with 617 with two doses and 548 who are unvaccinated.
