It’s time to light up the Dryden Cemetery and remember and honour loved ones who are no longer with us.
Ice candle orders are now being accepted for the Christmas Eve ‘Festival of Lights’ at the cemetery.
David Raine was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday to explain this is really about a celebration of life.
“Families young and old taking time out of their busy schedules at Christmas and making their way out to the cemetery on December 24 and lighting a candle in the memory of their families and friends. It’s getting bigger and bigger every year. The cemetery is just beautiful.”
Raine is encouraging folks to place their order early, noting organizers already have about 80 to 100 candles ready to go.
Donations will be accepted for Dryden specific programming at the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Raine says the last day to order candles is December 20.
