The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting five new cases of COVID Tuesday.
Two come from the Dryden/Red Lake region, with two more in the Kenora area.
The other case comes from the District of Rainy River.
There are now 17 active cases.
Meantime, the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has reopened its closed classes at Sioux Narrows and Valleyview schools.
All students and staff impacted by the class closures due to COVID were able to return to school this week.
The classroom outbreak designation remains in place at Valleyview until further notice.
The Thunder Bay District registered 6 new cases with the active count now at 91.
Ontario recorded 687 new positives and 3 more COVID-related deaths.
The province reached a grim milestone reaching the 10,000 death mark from the virus.
