Joseph Abela
May 15, 1933 – November 23, 2021
Joe, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 23, 2021 at age 88.
He will be remembered, cherished and forever loved by his children, Michael, Janice and Pauline, his siblings Lawrence, Tony and Rose, his many nieces & nephews as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are all so blessed to have so many beautiful memories of him.
For many, many years Joe was an avid amateur ham radio operator, active within the Dryden community and area. A hobby photographer and computer tech “aka” hacker, many of us benefited from Joe’s talents. While our hearts are broken with grief, we take comfort in knowing that he has joined our beloved mom, Gay, who passed away just a few short months ago. Their wedding anniversary date of November 24th seems somehow very serendipitous.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at 11 a.m. until time of service at the Dryden Community Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held in memory of Joe on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery.
