Programs and services are being enhanced at the Dryden Go Getters Club.
The local branch of the Retired Educators Executive (RTOERO) has handed over $2,500 to improve the lives of seniors.
The two organizations partnered to secure the grant.
Go Getters President Judy Crigger says they are grateful for the partnership.
Crigger says a good portion of the money will be used to purchase cycling machines for all seniors at the facility.
She adds a karaoke machine will also be acquired and they plan to hold more social events.
The remainder of the funds will help the Go Getters celebrate their 90th Anniversary in June.
President of District 35 Carol Gardam says, “RTOERO promotes projects that will help our organization meet our strategic goals of improving the lives of seniors, and help strengthen our presence in our broader education communities. The Dryden Seniors Centre/Go Getters Club offers various recreational and educational programs and services for older adults, so is a perfect partner for this project.”
