Ronald Jaeger
March 11, 1940 – November 9, 2021
In loving memory of Ronald Jaeger, who was taken away from his family too soon on November 9, 2021.
Ron was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Vicky earlier this year. He is survived by his children Tony (Diana) and Scott (Kelly) and 6 grandchildren: Dayna, Darian, Ryan, Erik, Kaedyn and Addie. Also survived by his brother Lloyd (Dorothy) Wright, sister Ruby (Larry) Beck, sister-in-law Cindy (Willy) Danielson, nephew Darcy (Debbie) and niece Stacy (Jacques), Goddaughter Amber Church and many extended family members including his Evergreen Road “family” and close friends.
Ron was master of all trades and had many jobs over the years – mortician, contractor, truck driver, owner and operator of Big Eagle Lodge where he made many friends who became family. He enjoyed building, being outdoors fishing and hunting and helping and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ron also had a wonderful knack for telling stories and his sayings would leave you in stitches (or disbelief).
Ron will be missed greatly and his family imagine him fishing with Vicky and best friend Dale in a place where there are no limits.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service and interment of ashes will be held on a later date.
In memory of Ron, donations can be sent to the Dryden High School Tech Department – please reference his name. Funds will be used to purchase carpentry equipment to support the next generation of trades people. Should you choose to E-transfer, contact Dryden High School at 223-2316 ext.221 or through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Avenue, Dryden, ON P8N 2X3
