Some changes at the top of the Northwest Catholic District School Board.
Two new Superintendents of Education have been hired.
Kim Anderson has been appointed to the upper management position.
She brings 26 years of dedicated service as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, principal at St. Frances, St. Michael’s and Our Lady of the Way Schools, and most recently, Assistant to the Superintendent of Education.
Anderson has had direct oversight of schools as well as numerous portfolios such as mental health, early years and kindergarten registration, French as a second language curriculum as well as safe and healthy schools.
Board officials stress she bring excellent leadership capabilities.
Brad Oster has also been appointed, effective January 1.
He has served the board for the last four years as Assistant to the Superintendent of Education and Student Success Lead.
Oster has been responsible for overseeing mathematics, new teacher induction program, Indigenous education, experimental learning, Catholic parent Involvement Committee and the equity and inclusive education portfolios.
Board officials say he has extensive classroom experience and helps in making decisions that impact positive student achievement.
